The use cases on this page assume business (B2B) settings such as offices, factories, warehouses, stores, and clinics. Note that Sustira must not be used where laws or regulations require certified or calibrated instruments, such as storage of prescription pharmaceuticals (see the FAQ).

Cinema Ventilation and Climate Monitoring

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Sustira at home as an individual?
Yes, you can. Individuals and sole proprietors are welcome to sign up. However, Sustira's features and pricing (from ¥19,800/month) are designed for business use in companies, factories, and stores, so for residential smart-home purposes the cost rarely makes sense — the official SwitchBot app usually covers those needs. If you need business-style continuous records, alerts, and CSV export — for example in a home office — Sustira works at any scale.
Is there any device required for every use case?
Yes. At least one hub (currently SwitchBot Hub 2 / Hub 3) is required to relay sensor data to the cloud. On top of that, combine thermo-hygrometers, the CO2 sensor, Plug Mini, and water leak detectors as needed. See Supported Devices for details.
Can we use Sustira for industries or purposes not listed here?
If your business needs records of temperature, humidity, CO2, power, or water leaks, Sustira can be used regardless of industry. Contact us for advice on device layout and plan selection.
Can Sustira be used for strict temperature control of pharmaceuticals or vaccines?
No. Please refrain from using Sustira where laws, regulations, or guidelines require certified or calibrated thermometers, temperature data loggers, or dedicated monitoring systems — such as storage of prescription pharmaceuticals, vaccines, blood products, or clinical trial specimens (e.g., under GDP guidelines), measurements used for legal certification, or ultra-low-temperature storage. The sensors used with Sustira are general-purpose IoT sensors and do not provide official certification or calibration. Use Sustira to understand room conditions and as supplementary reference records alongside dedicated systems.
